About the Artist

Elena Hecht entered her first national photo contest at age 17, coming in second place. Growing up in Florida, she has seen the many changes that growth brings. An advocate for conservation and preservation, Elena’s photos capture the natural beauty that is Florida.

After urging from family and friends, she went “public” with her photos in 2005. She is a member of the St. Augustine Art Association, has been featured at the Main Library, and has photos in various buildings and shops in St. Augustine, as well as volunteering her services for many community organizations and events.

She especially enjoys doing wedding photography. Elena calls nature God’s art, and hopes to raise awareness of the need to take care of our planet before we lose more of the scenic places we call home.
